I love it.

It had (to me) a darker kind of feel to Metallica's Unforgiven pt II which I haven't heard in years and years. I love the random mario sounding moments, totally killed the mood but hey, in keeping to 'trick or treat'. You need a vocalist, imagine what you could make.

Sonofkirk responds:

Thanks a lot, I appreciate your review : )

Pretty bad ass.

It has a nice sound, but in all honesty that melody at the start didn't seem to suit the beat, it was a little awkward to me. Still a great job.

What uh..

So this is what Tears for Fears sound like when you're on acid? It sounds Indian too, I, I dunno. Try singing without the reverberation making it sound bad.

Works for me.

I'd use this in movie any day.

MaestroRage responds:

it's a bit generic for my liking to be honest. It was hard not to sound generic (and I think I somewhat failed in that regard) for the story behind their logo (not that the story is generic but the way to express it kinda was).

Still, thanks for dropping by and taking a listen! Thanks again for the review! Glad you liked it.

Alright.

I can understand the mellow feel, but the melody reverberates a bit heavily to me and gives takes away from the. And I thought of the M*A*S*H theme song at 0.37 haha. I would have (when I say I would have I mean if I had your ability) slowed it a bit more in certain stages, and given the drums the chance to fade out alone, to give a sense of a patient's heart beating out. As a matter of fact your Surgeon songs are ambiguous in the sense we never know if the patient makes it. I would say (you prolly are already) make one where he loses his patient, that could go on for so long too, an epic!

MaestroRage responds:

right you are Assassin. The songs are ambiguous indeed. A drenched dark tones with a lot of malice but no definite answer. Though I would have loved to make a death song for each level, that would have doubled the song size, and the game was already breaching upon gigantic. We have to draw the line somewhere eh? I mean I also wanted to make each song like 30 minutes long :D!

I kept the percussion constant to allow smooth looping.

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

I like this one.

I love how everybody posts their own images they have from listening to your pieces, must be a good feeling for you. I agree with Snyper5527 about a warrior, the drums give it a very clear sense of natural surrounding, that's one thing about composing for some other media, it kind of needs the other half it's made for to get the full feeling, but still stand on it's own. I think it still works, and is great.

You sure can crank them out.

It seems if somebody has a project or concept for you to work around, you just can't stop popping these babies out. I didn't get much WWI feeling from it, perhaps it's too energetic and triumphant to how I perceive that war. Good stuff all the same.

Loops really well.

I like your drum work, and the raspy brass. I was expected a marching snare and flute, glad I didn't get one. 0.54 - 1.05 seemed out of place melodically and rhythmically to me. Either way, brilliant.

Hurray for new vocals.

I like how you're using vocals, it's making your stuff a lot more fresher. I didn't get much of an underwater feel, I think the drums are too raspy and high to give any sense of a huge expanse of ocean water. Still gets the element of panic and dispair across, and sounds awesome.

What the milk whistles was that?

You are utterly DEMENTED, I love you. This could and SHOULD be in a movie. Seriously, ugh it's so disturbing with the range of pitch and tones and wtf the last thing of yours I heard was "Are you going to Scarborough Fair" talk about contrast.

Never be afraid to open your minds. Create something, anything. You'll love doing it, I promise.
